Wow, I did not realized that it has been almost 2 months since I got some decent pictures

First, updates

1. Orihime has a new body coming in YAY Gem body is really not fun at all. She cannot do anything and the small bust issue has always been bothering. So officially I have a DD Dy body with Yosemune coming in for her (Thank you K san) Lucky for Ichigo, it has lingerie set too LOL LOL OK the resin head and the vinyl body is not identical match but I think the body should be more stable than the Gem and I can actually get her clothes from Volks so at least she will be more complete in that sense

2. I got names!!!! One Off W boy is Erick and SD 17 W boy is Ambrosios (Ambrose) Erick is next to me now.

Yes my LJ has been super boring (to me at least LOL)

I have not really taken any dollie pictures for a while. All the pictures from China are just not too exciting traveling pictures and I still need to edit them...

GOOD NEWS IS:

1. I got my tall Williams home (yay !!!)  Maybe I will bring him with me on Saturday. I kinda want to bring Ladislas and Tighearnan.... I am pretty sure that I cannot handle 3 dolls NOT unless some people want to babysit my dolls LOL LOL

2. My Chrom is back with the rest of my million heads from C. 
    The human Chrom is a STUD!!!  I am totally in love with him. The truth is that I think the newer Soom MD heads are becoming more Asian looking compared to the earlier Soom stuff - which is not bad.
    DS Boys are totally cool - I ordered the new DS18M body for Saint and Rosen to share. I hope it will be here before Christmas.
    Then both Hound will have their own bodies back.

I am happy happy now  (work is still stressful, but at least dollies are good )

Yes TF Niky can go back on his lifeless body now LOL

Last year, the other place I worked at had three break-ins. Lost a lot of stuff and business closed

This year, we had one break-in in March, one in May and it happened today again. I am very sure it is done by the same group of people who have connection in my company. They knew where all my cameras are. Everything was covered etc.

They took over 3 containers full of merchandises.

Government can say anything and everything they want about this economy blah blah blah. The fact is that it is NOT getting better and at this rate, I am too scared to think what is going to happen down the road

I have more thoughts and "insight" about my trip and China but I will save that for later

Recently my luck has changed - to my utter surprise; and I actually "won" something. I have never won anything before in my life from any lottery.

So I won the chance to own an one-off. I did not pot on DOA because I did not want to bring attention to myself and because someone was already posting that "because me and the person who won Tsukasa" already own a doll of the same mold we should be selling our dolls.

For those who know me, you know this new boy or my good old Ladislas are NOT going any where further than 2 feet from me.  I did not enter the lottery so I can win a doll to turn around and sell him.  Ladislas has a very special place in my heart, if anything at all this new boy will be my back up just in case (god forbids) something happens to Ladislas.  Yes I am selfish that way - I am sorry.  I did not feel like as if I need to explain myself to people I know so I did not even bother to deal with DOA on that front.  

I really look forward to bringing this new boy home.

Both of the Soom Tiny MD wolf and the gold fish are home. The goldfish needs loads of work so he will not be showing himself anyday soon LOL

I think I will go pick up an airbrush from Volks and start learning how to brush the body parts at least. I think I can learn by doing just body brushing first.

....  I caved and got two tiny birdies. Why because they are cute and also their chubby legs look like those of my nephews. My nephew is 6 months but almost 20 LB he is over the average by 3.5 LB LOL LOL  Little big kid.  Everyone says he looks like he is 10 or 11 months old


I will need to go to China in the very near future, I pray that it will not cut into Nov 14th for I really need to go to the Face up Workshop and the reception. I will be super depressed if I cannot get a plane ticket back on Nov 13th

OK   here I am in Hangzhou

First of all, merchandises which I came to check are NOT at the production progress step which I wish they were. AKA WE ARE LATE!!  Thus me stress

I was supposed to work with two people today and I ran late in the first meeting so now I have to delay the second meeting to Monday. Maybe the lady will just meet me at my hotel tomorrow instead of me going to her place since it is far from where I am.

Hangzhou is a nice place full of historical things. A few temples etc. I went to the Thunder Pagoda today. It is the place where the Spirit of White Snake was sealed in that love story of the White Snake Lady and her husband.


What I have learned today which is interesting are as followed:

1 Chinese people save their money first for big purchases before buying thus making their demand for smaller goods less than the potential than US counterparts who buy using credit more. Example, all of the auto sold in China are paid in cash, very rarely people pay with financing for cars.

2. Farmers in the country side of Hangzhou have BIG houses.

    a. People in little villages gathered together and give up half of their lands to build things - big shopping mall etc. Then they use the fund raised to build community housing with independent homes (they look identical to each other almost like a townhouse community) and everyone who chipped in get one townhome.
    b. Farmers make it their life time ambition to rebuild / upgrade their homes. For example, the father will tear down their old house and build a new one. After the son inherits the house, he will tear it down and build a new and better and bigger one when he saves enough money.

There were so many large 4-5 story houses in the farm area. Some of the designs were very "interesting" I took some pictures I will post them later

3. Hangzhou is a very large city, but so many intersections have no traffic signals - people are just driving around like as it was a round about and just cut in whenever they see a spot. Sometimes give me a heartattack

2. The vampire Halloween outfit for my YoSD, if there is some left after I get back to States I will get one

3. MOST IMPORTANT!!!  - I will miss the next issue of Hana to Yume to read Skip Beat - I am so sorry, Ren, get Kyoko back OK   I waited a whole month and now I need to wait an extra 3 days before I can read it  this sucks

 

I just talk to the factory in China, ours stuff is running behind so I may need to extend my trip by one day already   BOOO BOOOOOOOO

but my boss insists that there is a BEAUTIFUL lake so I guess I will be able to get some pictures on Sunday.... but I will have just my sister's point and shoot, so no artist blur I guess LOL LOL LOL

Ladislas fall over again yesterday so the Cobra broke off from his head piece so he looks like Pocahontas instead of a Paraoh.  My co-worker said he looks like a girl.... ok I agree that wig looks like a girl. So I changed him into Ryoya's uniform.  That uniform is disappointing.... the entire outfit was made with Volks Husky size or something - it is big even for the original chubby SD13 body... and he has a SDGr slim body, he is like swimming in the JACKET... poor boy. Well, at least he looks like boy right now, I will give him Dollheart outfit next week when I return......

DOA has been slow for me, so I will post here for those who care

Me flying out LAX Wednesday Morning = will be gone for one week. My iphone will not have data plan too expensive for international roaming. But I will try to bring my dinasaur laptop with me... maybe I will be able to get connection at the hotels.

I switched the wig from Aura to Hinata and he LOOKS so much better now with that wig. SUPER CUTE. I will bring one more outfit for him to wear - a Chinese one since he will be in China LOL LOL

Need to get my clothes and rest of work stuff together.

It is a trip for work so I hope everything will go according to plan and everything will work out well

keep my fingers crossed.

I can bring Hinata with me to China.... Because there is a back up (aka his twin brother, Aoi)  So if something does happen, I will still be ok

I just took picture of Aura, he is cute.... so maybe I can find a new home for him since now people can actually see him as he is

Sometimes it is hard for people to understand but at times dolls do let their opinions known.....

Ladislas has been in that Euclase (egyptian like) outfit for over 3 weeks. The wig did not look right but I did not have time to fix it.   Today when i wanted to take his pictures, before I could do anything, he went forward, bend at the waist and I thought his face hit the floor .... gave me a heart attack. Really, his wig, headcap all came off.  

Luckily his face was fine. When I fixed his wig again, this time it decided to go on side-ways so the hair parts on the right side. And THAT looks much much better on him LOL LOL   So yes, I do believe it happened that way because he hated his wig......


That outfit does not fit him at all. But I am glad that it does not shown in the pictures LOL LOL   so happy.

Still thinking about who to bring with me..... it will be a tiny since he will need to fit into my purse.... but I do not want to bring Neon since god knows what I will come across in China... so it really just leave me with Wedge... but it has always been Wedge.... why? because I can replace him if something bad happens.... so all pictures have been with Wedge... oh well.... that is just part of bring someone with you on a trip... big, bulky and cannot be replaced boys will never make any trip with me LOL LOL

As opposite my very productive good friend, I suck yesterday

EDIT 8/2/09: ADDED BOY BODY COMPARISON PICTURE SEE DETAIL

Recently, people had pointed out that YoSD and Teenie Gem look very similar so the below are my own observations:

First general observation is that the two bodies are about the same size and looks very similar to each other. So I guess the main question is DID Soom copied Yo when they make Teenie Gem  (Please keep in mind that Teenie Gem has been sold since about 1 plus year ago - I am not sure of the date since I did not care much for Teenie Gem when Soom only had 2 head molds. I know for sure they have been there for as long as when I started to stalk Soom - Sard)



Someone else has already posted the general comparision pictures so my pictures are here to point out the differences I see - so you can be your own judge.  First bigger diffference: please see the arm- the thickness of the arms are not the same. Soom is slimmer.  The Elbow joint is same in design - arm going into a ball joint. But the size of the joint is not the same size nor same shape.

So Soom is saying that they are slowky changing their production process and hoping to shorten the wait for MD

Which is good.

They are also changing the options for MD, so you are not forced to buy extra animal parts if you do not want - this way also help shorten production time - that make sense... cool


While I was reading that, I check on my order status..... and I just realized that I barely paid Skoll off in June (he was a on layaway)... which means that I have another 3 months to wait. Chrom was paid off about the same time so 4 months more to wait  (AUGH)

It would really be a big laugh and ill humor, if the new W boy actually arrives before Chrom
